Definition of a Family Navigator: A Family Navigator is a trained guide, often with lived experience, who supports families in accessing services, navigating complex systems, and finding the resources they need. At the Shades of Motherhood Network, our Family Navigators provide culturally competent, community-rooted support to Black and Brown mothers, helping them move through healthcare, mental health, and social service systems with dignity and confidence. ​
