On Saturday, September 12, The Shades of Motherhood Network is gathering at Riverfront Park for the 8th Annual Jace’s Journey 5K & Fun Run.
We’re walking in memory of Jace Alexander. We’re walking in honor of Ty’Auana Roberson and her son, Zakariya. And we’re walking for every baby gone too soon, every mother whose life was put at risk, and every family carrying a story that deserves to be heard.
This is about more than a 5K. It’s about creating space for pregnancy and infant loss, raising awareness about maternal and infant health disparities, and making sure families know: We see you. We hear you. Your baby matters. Your story matters.
Instead of medals, our Spokane participants will receive books created by Ty’Auana to help children and families navigate hospital experiences, grief, emotions and healing.
