Family Fun Day 2026 is a joyful, community-centered celebration launching Black Maternal Health Week 2026, rooted in resilience, connection, and collective healing. Hosted by Shades of Motherhood Network (SOMN), this event centers joy, rest, and play as essential components of maternal and family health.
Families are invited to come together for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and meaningful connection in a safe and welcoming space designed to support Black families and strengthen community bonds.
Why Family Fun Day Matters
Chronic stress is a major contributor to poor maternal health outcomes. Family Fun Day intentionally interrupts that cycle by offering joy, rest, connection, and community healing—all critical to improving maternal and family well-being. By centering play and togetherness, we create opportunities for families to recharge, build resilience, and model wellness within our communities.
