The Black Maternal Mental Health Conference is a powerful gathering dedicated to healing, connection, and community-centered systems change in Black maternal mental health. Hosted by Shades of Motherhood Network (SOMN) during Black Maternal Health Week 2026, this conference creates an affirming space where lived experience, clinical expertise, and peer support come together to support Black mothers and families.
This event centers compassion, access, and collective care—addressing the emotional realities of fertility journeys, pregnancy after loss, postpartum mental health, and the often-unspoken experiences Black mothers carry.
